Chinese Brain Rape [Today's News Poem, October 8, 2010]

Chinese Brain Rape [Today's News Poem, October 8, 2010]

Slip into rohypnol.
Surge breakers, measuring
Prizes, conflict—read the meter.
Don't redact what deletes itself.

Null. Nothing measured? Then
Less nothing gained for you.
Charge the photons on my credit.
Gentlemen will forget you too.

"With news media across the globe reacting to this year's Nobel Peace Prize announcement, authorities in the winner's homeland are racing to delete his name from all public domains. Type "Liu Xiaobo" -- or "Nobel Peace Prize," for that matter -- in search engines in China and hit return, you get a blaring error page."

ps: http://toylit.blogspot.com/2010/03/hey-china-i-found-this-in-memory-hole.html

Hey China! I found this in the memory hole:

http://www.cnd.org/June4th/massacre.html
I like your tanks:

Dan Rather had to interrupt Pee-Wee's Playhouse to show me your cool T-72s (those are T-72s, right?) flattening real people. Cowboy Curtis can't top that!

I have a deal: since I'm a safe distance away from the mobile execution buses, maybe you wouldn't mind it if I posted some pictures of the Tiananmen Square Massacre on here. I also would like to tell you about Falun-Gong and how you can shed ten to eighty years off your life expectancy by practicing it on the mainland.

Alas, you people are in big trouble insofar as your currency is backed by rapidly depreciating dollars. Remember 1998? I guess you can't remember something that was censored, but I do. Your economy has all the symptoms those other economies had back then... right now. Guess what? If you ignore the party bosses and just try to live your life, the shit they do in Beijing is going to thwart whatever you're trying to do right now... in about 6-18 months. The real problem of course is that the time to have fixed your structural economic problems was probably way back in 1989, or maybe 1998 at latest. Now you're up about two trillion in dollar assets that you can't sell. Thanks. I really enjoy the low inflation.

So party bosses may have censored images of tanks massacring students, for 'sake of the state,' but I assure you, you'll be seeing many tanks in the near future.

Anyhow, I guess my point was simply: I love your culture and its contributions to civilization, but your government is going to be the death of you and me too if you don't do something soon.

Also, I just hate censorship as a rule and I know some of you sneak over here to read all the news that's shit, in print.

"These findings implicate co-infection by IIV and Nosema with honey bee colony decline, giving credence to older research pointing to IIV, interacting with Nosema and mites, as probable cause of bee losses in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Castration Nation vs Yo(ga) Mama [#twitterfoundpoem, October 7, 2010]

Castration Nation vs Yo(ga) Mama [#twitterfoundpoem, October 7, 2010]
Tweets+Edits=#twitterfoundpoem

The Church of the Yoga moms arrested the police on a trumped-up/non-existent charge.
man, If their only intention was to kill And sell them eventually,
Why did they think that ordinary police doing ordinary police things
involves a crooked government?
Why did they feel it was necessary to include marital status and kill HUSBANDS?
The gospel of Yoga practice revolved around a "no police" mantra for the day.
The gospel of Yoga moms revolved around stylistic intentionality.
Is it sad that I think that Yoga moms are FASCISTS?
ommmm.
Is it sad that Yoga moms TAKE OVER THIS COUNTRY?
I think so.
They don't save the children.
They just fuck their HUSBANDS OVER.
They save their Vanity
and arrested their so wrinkled
husbands' penises.
they feel it necessary TO TAKE OVER penises
so, of course
Yoga practice revolved around a "no candy" mantra.
ommmm.
SMOTHER it.
ommmm.
save yourself.
ommmm... ommmm nom nom nom.

How Killers Are Different [Today's News Poem, October 6, 2010]

How Killers Are Different [Today's News Poem, October 6, 2010]

It's
Because I care if they come back—
For
Parting's the first of many deaths,
And
Only reconciliation
Can
Absolve me my guilty instincts:
For
These reasons, I cannot murder.

"Bayquni had previously admitted to police investigators that he had killed a total of 14 street children since 1998. Some of the victims were reportedly sodomized after they were killed, including Bayquni’s last victim, Ardiansyah... Bayquni’s trial has focused renewed attention on the plight of thousands of street children in the capital and elsewhere across the country."

Amputate my head, eh? What's the worst that can happen?
will i get feeling or movement back? time will tell!
Laughing at amputation... dude read up amputation:
You cannot amputate your way to destiny,
but I'm still working on it...
hopefully it might spare me from despair.
crap mixes with a sense of humor to amputate it! :)
Apotemnophilia: Can't wait!
Acrotomophilia: you Can't wait either!
Amputate my head, like Edmund Kemper.
I love how destructive It's getting at 100/hr.
drive, crash, and Amputate with a windshield.
it's so sexy. it's true love.
I'll Amputate my head while The nation faces real war
with humor, isolation,anxiety,lonliness and despair
while I leave you all behind.

Postdiluvian Metaphor [Today's News Poem, October 5, 2010]

Postdiluvian Metaphor [Today's News Poem, October 5, 2010]

The metaphors swelled with a season of blood;
And restless, they rose with the melt of the snow,
Undoing themselves as the wound was delivered
To gills of the fish—to their slack-jawed surprise.

Yes, metaphor's over; it gushes with mud;
A cauldron of bubbles; a mixture of dough:
An alkaline pasture for flocks that have shivered
Too long with a shepherd who still won't reprise

A cleansing with water.
The sheep come to slaughter.

“The Hungarian government declared a state of emergency in several towns on Tuesday, a day after a reservoir at an alumina production plant burst its banks, unleashing a flood of toxic red sludge that killed at least four people and injured more than 120, government officials said.”

We Passed Away [#twitterfoundpoem, October 5, 2010]

We Passed Away [#twitterfoundpoem, October 5, 2010]
Tweets+Edits=#twitterfoundpoem

Toxic Sludge Floods Several Hungarian Towns
well Sure, There are plenty of Towns in the sea,
But There are also sharks, seaweed, and toxic waste.
high-end sludge for you, Mr,
and a very alkaline, very caustic pH 13
detergent for me. having trouble now with toxic mud???
this is just the beginning!
Fire crews contain toxic gas leak,
Authorities say crews successfully neutralised a toxic mud leak
with my detergent:
it happens all the time.
time is beginning to leak.
That's OK though.
I have to Demand trouble,
But settle for a clean t-shirt
and a very caustic detergent that could burn
through clothes and rock my socks off
my feet and feet off legs!!
my detergent engulfs towns & burns people through their clothes,
But That's OK because
ha ha I'm better than you.
You get toxic waste and mud,
But I get my detergent.
That's OK though.
We will rock feet off legs
But That's OK.
We pissed it all away.
We passed it all away.
We pass away.
hooray!!

Working Class Poets Do Not Teach At University [Today's News Poem, October 4, 2010]

Working Class Poets Do Not Teach At University [Today's News Poem, October 4, 2010]

Class is for school and I knew it; it's why
I rejected that sinecure calling
Dreamy and dozy ones; lovers of books.
If you've worked in an office, with muscle,
Dullness, or other depravity known
Or unknown; then you know what the meaning
Work can confer to the author of verse
And that tenure is nothing like trading
Minutes of life for permission to write;
Where obedience matters. With passions
Thwarted to squander potential, while work—
Of the genuine type—is enriching
Bosses who send off their offspring to school:
Where they learn, like their parents, that dullness
Probably's highest of virtues. They seek
To possess all the labor and sign-off
Work in their name. At the end of the day
A professor will trump a drowned city.
Darkies will stay as anonymous as
All those janitors cleaning those classrooms.
Philip Levine will stay canonized as
'Representative Work,' as the proof that
Laborers climb up the ivory spire
With those hands that they've calloused with labor;
Claiming the worker's his brother—a lie.
As a 'working class' poet, he owns me;
Struggle and all, as I scribble while work—
It's oppression—demands that I put down
Pen and get back to my purpose: to raise
Others up high while I stoop—and not conquer.

Tweets+Edits=#twitterfoundpoem

The thing I dislike most when I'm looking4something
such as my head: I'm unaware I want/need it.
my wife says the baby has my 'very cute face.'
Now I can look forward to my taste buds
that our baby has, The spaces between baby fingers
and The spaces in my head and face.
I look at my baby and feel sad.
He looks JUST like my wife and I;
He looks JUST like a goat.
He has been spoilt and will expect such delight
He will never have again!
the lil dude will have a heart throb when he grows up
JUST like my wife and I
and will feel sad too!

The Birds Wave Goodbye [Today's News Poem, October 3, 2010]

The Birds Wave Goodbye [Today's News Poem, October 3, 2010]

What is modernity, but mines and cement and the cables that carry the matter; the mass across the equator, around all this curvature? A serpent on lease. Do we ride on Ygdrassil, on Nidhogg? And planting ourselves on a motion that gnaws all those places we thought were secure, at the roots, at the base of this office of branches, we doze to aroma of lotus intoxicants. Meanwhile the elves and the trolls, all those ancients dismissed in our rush to build to the thunder (eruptions of praise as our rock-pile to heaven); they reach from a puddle of mud and they grasp us and yank on our ankles—connected to feet that have stepped on a loaf. And they pull us away from that gourd that had shielded our face from the sun. It has withered, while we are encased in a statue of granite. The bog witches offer their secret to taming the worm: they never command what the serpent decides—they enable its sharpness. They cackle as; starving, we watch from a dungeon of roots as the world starts to topple. I witness the pollen ascend where my whimsy can't follow. The birds wave goodbye. First the jay in the leaves that have scattered, the doves from the roots that are sideways; and finally eagles, which cry before vacuums have gathered their feathers to launch at the sun.

“The Obama administration’s plans were first reported by the New York Times. The discussions on the issue centered on three areas: requiring that communications services that encrypt messages have a way to unscramble them; mandating that foreign-based providers doing business inside the United States have a domestic office capable of performing intercepts; and ensuring developers of peer-to-peer software redesign their service to allow file interception.”

“Researchers analyzing the Stuxnet cyberweapon have found references in its code that could indicate that it was created in Israel. At a Protest in the Near Future [Today's News Poem, October 2, 2010]

At a Protest in the Near Future [Today's News Poem, October 2, 2010]

Oh wash out the clutter, those clods in the gutter.
Yes, gather the faithful; a capitol—state, full
Of weaponized masses of cattle-like asses.
They're lowing and braying; they're bowing and praying
To monuments. Wave to the camera we gave to
An escrow of cables, that mimic where able
Their masters, their fervent devotion as servants
As lamb grows to lion, before he is scion
To shimmering slaughter: he drowns them in water
A perfect reduction of master's production.

you could make up any mask you like.
that's why u play the thirsty villain.
is it really bold or is it plain?
wear a plain outfit.
then wear a bold mask.
Amazon Queen mask,
squid mask,
a gas mask might be in order.
my whole thing is if u want to make your market
more successful, mask your person.
mask your person.
is it really bold or is it plain?
post-future squid villain demons
wear a mask, a bold bold mask:
a person mask with real skin.
Doctor Doom is who wakes me up everyday
and i'm 4ever grateful for super villian demons everyFUCKINGday;
grateful for his love,
this is why i pray.

Cult of the Balloonist and the Flea [Today's News Poem, October 1, 2010]

Cult of the Balloonist and the Flea [Today's News Poem, October 1, 2010]

The balloonist was a showman, scammer, ne'er do well
Who had lived, like fleas, attached to host; to suck a bit
And to stay unnoticed: hidden next to crumbs and dirt.
If the beard of humankind permits the rats to dwell
With the flies, racoons and dandelions—why not twits?
We've reconsecrated brothels in our films; alert
For the holy prostitutes—besides hotels for cats.
And inhaling all the heated air we can, we rise
On our hype, until we see ourselves alone with rain
For our balaclavas, wearing thunderheads for hats;
And of course, believing even lightning our disguise
As we ride the sighs of lapsing life that blow our gain,
Unbelievably, beyond the grasp of desperate ghouls.
And we lied to cannibals about the sacred smoke.
And we saw them pray until they shrank from sight (the fools).
And we sneered, before the storm revealed a final joke:
And we scream, before we're sneezed from storm, like mucus drool.

“Two US balloonists who went missing over the Adriatic Sea while taking part in an endurance race are unlikely to have survived, race organisers have said.”
