Noeman Unsighted [Today's News Poem (Sonnet) by Khakjaan Wessington, May 11, 2012]

Batten my heart, my one person. God! Four eyes
To see and one to blind, and one to sex.
Hammer my hands and my feet to the decks
Ascetics sail past sirens. I disguise
Cruelty, seduction: I'm engine. You're the wrench.
I've sight. You've heated pokers. I've desire,
You are the succubus—setting dicks a'fire.
I've chastened penis, child and if I quench
And rut upon your many forms and seek
A perfect union, God, you'll poison lust
And blind, but keep me live that I may pique
And rage and turn from youth to bitter rust:
And thereby master all that oozes from my form
So I, congealed inside your Godly mold, conform.

“A jury has convicted Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law of murdering her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew in what prosecutors' described as an act of vengeance by a jilted husband.”
